Everything You Need To Know Before The 2022 Read Period Kicks Off

The 2022 Connectivity Partner Program read period begins soon - March 15th. To help our partners succeed, we’ve created this summary/checklist to get you started.

Download the Program Guide and understand the metrics

The Connectivity Partner Program Guide is your playbook to success in the program. Take your time to review this resource, particularly the sections around metrics and scoring so that you know what you need to do to succeed.

Identify areas of improvement in your technical performance.

Every API error is an obstacle for a customer, preventing them from achieving their goal - making a booking with your customers. Our Integrator Portal provides all the tools you need to understand what your current error rates are, and even lists the error codes and messages so that you know what to focus on to improve. Our top performing partners set a recurring reminder to check the integrator portal for 5 minutes every day with their morning coffee.

Know which features you need to implement and schedule them in your roadmap.

There are five features that you can achieve points for implementing this year - including Pricing Over API. If you’re not sure which of these features, published in the Program Guide, you have implemented yet, you’re able to test this on the Integrator Portal, under the ‘Set up your configuration Test your integration on production  section.

It is mandatory to run and successfully pass tests for reservation expiration, cut-off, error codes and price over API in order to score points for these features implementations. In order to test the notify Availability Update endpoint, you need to get in touch with your Connectivity Partner Business Manager or send an email to supplier-api@getyourguide.com.

Our top performing partners have already reached out to us with questions and have scheduled their testing and development before the northern hemisphere high season. If you require further assistance, feel free to reach out to us at supplier-api@getyourguide.com

Update your referral links to earn points when suppliers sign up

This year, you’ll earn points for each of your customers that signs up with GetYourGuide as a supplier. To attribute the signup to you, they need to come through your custom referral link. If your company isn’t on the list yet, just let us know via the supplier-api@getyourguide.com email address and we’ll create one. Our top performing partners have replaced their existing links to GetYourGuide with the referral links and are creating new tools, such as modals/pop ups to encourage suppliers to sign up.

Ideate and plan your partner-led initiatives

We created a flexible metric that lets you create and run collaborative initiatives tailored to your business goals. There are 10 points available for this metric, and we’ve added a number of suggestions on what you can do to the program guide. We’re also open to new ideas! You know your business best, and you know which initiatives will be most impactful. Simply reach out to your Connectivity Partner Business Manager or supplier-api@getyourguide.com beforehand to discuss how we can support it and the number of points you’ll earn for the initiative.

Earn your first Business Value and Engagement points!

To help you get some points on the board straight away, we shared an idea and template for your first partner-led initiative. You can email customers that aren’t connected to GetYourGuide already using the copy we’ve provided, share the email report with us, and earn two points immediately.

Catch up on any webinars and blog posts you’ve missed

If you missed any webinars and want to catch up, we’ve published them all right here. We’ve also published numerous blogs as we’ve ramped up towards the beginning of the read period.

Sign up for office hours to get your questions answered

Every two weeks, on a Tuesday, we host an ‘office hour’ where we invite partners to join us and ask any questions they have about the program, metrics, and how to succeed. Add this recurring event to your calendar, and join whenever you want to chat Connectivity.

Join us in Berlin for our first Connectivity Partner Day! We’ve just published a more detailed agenda.

We’re hosting Connectivity Partners in Berlin on Wednesday March 23rd 2022 at our campus in Berlin. It’ll be a day of interactive engineering workshops and engaging talks from leaders within GetYourGuide. Find out all of the details and register to confirm attendance by March 4th.

Hopefully you find this a useful checklist to help you prepare for this year’s Connectivity Partner Program. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to us at supplier-api@getyourguide.com
